The Face in the Mountain
This is a very short book but I loved the illustrations that makes this book come to life. I also like how this book tells a story but it also teaches kids to respect nature and with a little confidence you can do anything. While reading this book, when the part about having his father's face in the mountain reminded me of Alamogordo, New Mexico's very own lady on the mountain and it's cool to see that being brought into a book, I can see kids looking for faces or sleeping people now when they travel! Thank You to Magnifying Children's Horizons for making learning about nature exciting for kids!! I received this book from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

The Face On The Mountain is a short, beautifully illustrated book about the interconnectedness of nature. This story teaches children that if you have confidence in your abilities you will be able to do what you need to do. It also shows the importance of taking on responsibility like Boma did. It also teaches about respecting and loving nature. I loved the activities and discussion points at the end of the book. Not only do they get you thinking about the text but they extend the knowledge and experiences with nature. The identification of several faces in mountains around North America will get people observing the mountains as they travel around. What a great idea.
